The 2015 Raku Day was a success! The weather was perfect! The day started at 7am with the set up out by the school garden. By 8am we were on our way! The high school art students participated by taking their pottery out of the fire! Mrs. Graham arrived around 9:30 with the Miller and Manning Art Club students and they watched as their pinch pot creations were fired. Tim Pfiffner from Great Lakes Clay Company ran our workshop, explained the process, and answered the student questions. Mrs, Roettger brought the Westmont Junior High students over after lunch and they fired their pottery pieces. It was a wonderful day and the students created some beautiful pottery!
